Just 100 days after RAW opened in Bay St. Louis, Thomas Genin announced a second location will open within 60 days. “From the beginning, we envisioned bringing the RAW concept to Ocean Springs,” said owner Thomas Genin. “We’re excited about opening this second location in a facility that is perfectly suited for it.”
RAW will be located in the former Salvettis site on Washington Avenue which will undergo a complete interior renovation designed by Henry Furr. A bar will be added to the patio to serve bloody marys and mimosas for brunch.
“RAW will also have a wide variety of wines from around the world available by the glass or by the bottle,” said RAW managing partner Scott Sutherland.
As with the current RAW location, the emphasis will be on serving the freshest seafood with a 125-gallon lobster tank as the centerpiece behind the hostess station. Sushi, lobster, shrimp, and both raw and baked oysters will be featured.
RAW-Ocean Springs will offer Grab-N-Go to enable customers to pick up a quick sushi lunch. A 50-person private dining room, which opens onto the patio to accommodate groups of up to 100, will also be available for reservation.
